Silver Link Workflow Software Tools - Tailoring the System
The Silver Link workflow software tools can be tailored for any type of work where standard documents are produced in a logical sequence of events. You can attach your own documents to the system and define your own set of events. Silver Link is highly flexible in its structure and design.
Silver Link Case Management Application Builder
Silver Link Case Management software enables the user to design and build business and workflow applications quickly and cost effectively with an inherent flexibility that makes future changes and enhancements easy to make. Many applications can be built without resort to traditional programming, thus significantly reducing development costs and timescales.
It is a powerful low cost system that provides a complete framework for creating dynamic applications.
With this system, the user can:
- Design and build a relational database for an application.
- Create necessary data input and output options for entering data and producing reports.
- Export selected data to Microsoft Office applications.
- Design and build the flowchart for an automated workflow procedure.
- Use the Workflow Processing module to manage an individual user’s diary and control processing of the finished application
- Use the System Administration module to control user access, install software upgrades and additional application modules.
The software tools are divided into the following integrated modules:
eXact Developer Module
The eXact Developer enables the user to:
- Build a relational database for the proposed application containing an unlimited range of dataviews.
- Build a set of data entry options so that data can be entered and updated into the database.
- Build a set of output reports where selected data can be printed, exported to Microsoft Excel, mail-merged with a Microsoft Word document or emailed to an addressed recipient.
- Attach the eXact report builder to an application so that end users can set up and catalogue their own set of reports.
- Attach custom built programs and routines to the application written in Delphi or C++.
Procedure Definition Module
The Procedure Definition Module enables the user to define a flowchart of linked workflow processes where at each step in a chain of events:
- Alternative processes can be activated.
- Separate sets of processes can be invoked in parallel with the main path.
- Calculations can be performed on data.
- Financial transactions can be posted to a ledger.
- Documents can be produced, or emailed to a recipient.
- Future processes can be diarised.
Workflow Processing Module
The Workflow Processing Module provides facilities for end users to process cases in a developed application:
- The Task Manager displays a list of cases that require action for a logged in user. This is the user’s daily diary. Any case in the list can be selected and actioned dynamically.
- The File Manager provides a set of audit trails in terms of events processed, financial transactions processed and documents produced for a selected case. It also lists the next possible processes that will be processed. Any of these can be actioned by the user, or overridden.
- The Update Diary option automatically scans every case in the database and invokes any processes that are diarised for the current (or future) date. When a process is activated, calculations may be made on data, automatic financial transactions may be processed, documents may be produced and set to a print queue and next processes in the flowchart diarised.
- The Print Manager prints or emails any documents sent to the print queue.
- The Quick Document option allows case data to be merged with a selected document manually.
- Other options allow the user to post financial transactions manually, action reminders and archive completed cases.
