Silver Link Residential Property Conveyancing Software

The Residential Property Conveyancing software module provides a high level of automation for lawyers engaged in residential conveyancing work. The system provides quotations for prospective clients prior to engagement.  The system manages sales, purchases and combined sale and purchase.  In a combined sale and purchase, the user can view important information concerning the linked matter from either the sale or the purchase matter.

Automatic Document Assembly

Silver Link produces draft and final documents when you need them, in the form required automatically. These could be quotations, letters, questionnaires, contracts, transfers, Land Registry, local authority and other searches, memoranda of exchange, land registration forms, undertakings, cheque requests and more. Valuable time can be saved because manual drafting is reduced. Data for names, addresses and many other items relevant to a matter are stored by the system and written automatically into documents. Buyer and seller full names and addresses are written into contracts and transfers exactly in the form required without tedious and repetitious typing. Financial amounts can be expressed in figures and words automatically.

Automatic Calculation of Disbursements and Fees

When documents are produced that require payment of a fee, the appropriate disbursement is calculated automatically. It is stored for billing purposes and is written to a file that may be exported to the accounts system. These include searches, Stamp Duty, Land Registration and fees for the conveyance. VAT is also calculated by the system where appropriate.

Automatic Assembly of Completion Statements

At any time you can view the present status of completion statements. A few days before completion date these are produced by the system. Prior to production, a reminder is issued for you to check the figures and make last minute adjustments. For combined sale and purchase matters, the two statements are synchronised and the balance from the sale is transferred to the purchase, accurately and effortlessly.

The next release of the system is planned to be available first quarter 2009.
