Silver Link Debt Management Software
The Silver Link Debt Management software module provides a system that automates the management of payments to the creditors of clients of debt management agencies.
The system provides the following facilities:
- Production of a Debt Management Plan. The instalment amount required each period from the client is assumed to be the client’s disposable income. This is calculated accurately from a monthly statement of income and expenditure supplied by the client. From the disposable income, the system calculates and produces a debt management plan.
- User Defined Rules for Fees and Disbursements. A set of rules that define the levels of fees charged for debt management services, instalment receipts from clients and payment of disbursements to creditors may be set up and changed periodically.
- Automatic Management of Creditors. Each client may have an unlimited number of (unsecured) creditors that need to be managed. A separate ledger of financial transactions is maintained for each creditor for each client. Each creditor is considered as having been paid in full when the balance on all of the creditors’ ledgers reaches zero for a client.
- Creditor Payments. Payments to creditors can be made at any time. The system selects all clients where payments can be made and disburses funds available in proportion to the size of the debt owed to each creditor. Management fees are calculated at the same time. The user has control over who may be paid. When creditors are paid, the system automatically consolidates payment transactions into a single amount. A report can be printed which shows details of individual payments made by each client to each creditor.
- Changes to Clients’ Circumstances. If the client’s financial circumstance deteriorate, or change in any way, the debt management plan may be re-calculated by the system and all parties may be informed. During the life of the debt management plan, the client may take on further debts that need to be managed. The system also caters for this requirement.
- Document Production. The system produces all letters, cheque requests, other documents to clients and creditors and reminders via seamless interfaces with MS Word.
- Automated Workflow Procedure. Automatic workflow processes provide facilities for the production of groups of documents.
- Debt Management Ledger. The system maintains a financial ledger for each client showing all receipts and disbursements. It maintains a record of receipts from clients, disbursements to creditors and management fees paid.
